This has been a big month!

This month, we have had so much going on! First of all, the kids went back to school! (yay for parents) We all know what this means! Time to spend money like crazy people! Pencils, notebooks, backpacks, lunch boxes, markers, crayons, colored pencils, paper, erasers, highlighters...you name it, we've bought it! Everything times TWO in my household!! To those families who have more than 2 children: HOW DO YOU DO IT?
One thing I've found to be very handy is to always have a good printer handy! You never know when you'll need to print something out for your little one! (or not so little?) When my son was in kindergarten he had to write ten words three times each. The paper that was provided did not have enough space, so I printed my own on some card stock. His teacher LOVED it! (secretly, he did too) One good printer to use would be this HP Office jet Pro 8600. It's an All-in-One printer so you can use it for your wee one's school and for business purposes! Last year he had a project on farms. I took the kids to a working Dairy Farm where we asked lots of questions and even got the chance to feed a calf that was only a few hours old! (ya, we go all out) When we came home I typed up what he wanted to say and printed it off for him. Then, we cut it out and pasted everything (along with photos, of course) onto a poster board. It was amazing! I wonder what this year will bring for them! 2nd and 3rd grade: Here We Come!  Homework? Let's do it! Gifted?  No problem.  Dance class? Bring it!  Chorus?  Can't wait!
Now if only the kids felt the same way!

Originally, I wasn't going to post this photo.  But I just can't help myself!
We've had the threat of a hurricane, tornado warnings, and last but not least MY VACATION! Yes, I said it: VACATION. Matter of fact, that's what I'm doing right now. Sitting at my laptop enjoying an iced caramel macchiato with soy milk from the big chain coffee company :)  Watching the storm come in and waiting on 2:00 to pick the kids up from school.  Life just doesn't get better than this, now does it?
